I'm actually about to buy the tires..just the bigger stock size 265/70/16. Unfortunately, Discount Tire Direct's checkout is acting up and not accepting the credit card I opened with them? go figure..I will have to call them after the holiday is over

That's because they're swamped, all because of the $100 rebate deal that's going on for Labor Day. Read the last post in this thread, I picked up a set of tires for the car and got the $100 gift card rebate and $40 off the price ($10 each tire), saved $140 on the set.
The $100 deal is good today, 9/03/12, tomorrow is too late.
Thanks man^ I will call them tomorrow and complain that the website wasn't working..maybe they can change my "purchase date" for me so I can get that $100 rebate. The Cooper one is good through November
Just got the Cooper Discoverer ATP's @ Discount tire 265/75-R16 they are sweet $117 ea looks just like the AT3 + $100 rebate. Can't beat that with a stick.
post pictures! I couldn't get the ATP's because I got 70 sidewall..I don't know the difference to be honest. But I have AT3's in 265/70/16 en route. Can't wait to mount them at work next week!
Not sure about the difference but there are several tire calc links around. I will try to get something up later today. We had bad storms last night and land lines are down.

As I recall... the middle number is the percentage of the 265 in height. So 265/70 is 185.5mm tall. A 265/75 is 198.75mm tall. So you're looking at about a half inch taller tire.
