Tie Rods
If you are mechanically inclined in the least, and can change a spare tire, and do an oil change, you can do your tie rod ends.
Just jack up the truck, anywhere, frame or arm, take off the tire, one bolt comes off on the tie rod end, give the control arm a few swift hits with the hammer to vibrate the tie rod free (or pickle fork it to death). Spray paint the tie rod itself as suggested, then loosen the retaining nut and unscrew that bad boy, put the new one on and lock it right where the mark is from the paint.
Done. No alignment needed.

Thanks for the advise/input guys. Ill be working on it tomorrow night (ran out of time this weekend). Sounds like a straight forward job. Ill let yall know how it goes.
it really is. watch that video i posted. that's the whole process. in detail.
when I had my struts installed, I paid extra for a lifetime alignment. That is paying or itself because I had at aligned again when I installed my leveling kit and I'll have it checked again when I replace the tie rod that I found that is bad. Cheeseburger is right...I just paid $800 for these tires, I'm not going to chance it.
Well I got the new tie rods installed tonight. Everything went well. I like how the new tie rod had a cotter pin to make sure the nut doesn't come off. The truck is already at the shop to be aligned and re-inspected tomorrow. Thanks for yalls help!
