Default Stock Goodyear RS-A are garbage...

Man these tires suck. These are 265-60R18 tires that came on my 2011 Quad. The Goodyear Wrangler RS-A. At 8,000 miles the truck never would ride smooth, handled like garbage, strange undulations over bumps, etc...

Well I got lucky in an unlucky sort of way and cut the sidewall on the two right side tires. Went ahead and replaced all four with Yokohama YK580 from Discount Tire and WOW what a difference. Way quieter, smoother, better over bumps and irregular surfaces, handle much better and seem to actually be getting better gas mileage with them.

If you are like me and the only off-roading you might see is your front lawn then I would highly recommend these tires.

In over 25 years of driving I've never had, drove or ridden in a vehicle with a decent set of Goodyear anythings (or BFGs for that matter).

I've owned a 4WD vehicle of one sort or another for all but maybe 9 months total in all that time and I've had three sets of tires I was forced to remove prematurely. A set of Goodyear Wranglers and two sets of BFGs, one set of BFG A/Ts that would never balance and cupped on me like crazy before they had 12,000 miles on them which were yanked soon after and a set of BFG Traction T/As that came on my jeep. Two years and five plugs later I yanked them, been to all the same places with my Nitto's I replaced them with, no plugs yet! I have yanked a couple of screws out, but none made it all the way through the tire...

I rarely ever leave a set of OEM tires on a car when I buy it. The exception was my 2003 Spec-V and this Dakota. I worked at a Firestone/Bridgestone corporate store in high school and college. I always remained good friends with my old manager and other store managers. Whenever I bought a new car I would take it there immediately and swap the tires out for a good set of Potenza's. They would always give me a good trade on the take-off's since they had about 20 miles on them. Usually would only be out of pocket about $100 for the upgrade.

I didn't do it this time. Big mistake. These RS-A's had some VERY thin sidewalls. I'm sure a good set of Bridgestone Dueler H/L or Alenza H/L tires would have survived with nothing more than a sidewall abrasion and I could have kept going.
