I have the strut with the leveling kit mounted in and all bolted up. (I thought THAT was going to be the hard part....) Now, getting the control arm, steering rod, and sway bar all connected again...

Basically, my problem is that the strut will not compress when I jack up the lower control arm. It tightens up a tiny bit then begins to lift the entire truck instead of compressing the strut and bringing the pieces together.

Any ideas?

 

try to lift as far as possible away from the pivot. maybe the cv joint slided out inside the boot.

 

your gonna have to ratchet strap the top and bottom together
