The MOPAR site seems to be down right now, but they have an iPod adapter that you can connect to the back of the OEM radio, If I remember right, the connection comes out into the glove box.

Here is my own double din conversion
My dash doesn't look like that... that must be a Raider thing but I imagine the process would be the same on the Dakota. Did you have to cut the hole bigger or just fill in the half circles on each side? If you did cut it bigger, how much did you cut?

Thanks for all of the replys and suggestions. I liked the idea of the mygig factory radio with hard drive. I am going to research that! I would rather not install a single din, I just prefer the entire space in the dash to filled and not have a compartment or anything.

I really don't know what I was thinking....I really would not need a multi disc changer if I had all of my music right there.

It would be so easy if I could just get an mp3 player and wire an aux port into the radio. I have not looked on the back of the radioto see what inputs are there. My next step!

Do you know if it works on any mp3 player or just ipod? I ask because I heard the ipod may not play some types of music.
