yeah i got a bore scope in there but i cant get a look at the hole piston and my valves are fine i was able to see that

i would rip apart my top end first, you might be doing more than you need (unless your looking for an excuse for a HO) your problem could VERY well lie in the heads, be smart, before you drop in that engine, remove the heads and find your problem, we almost NEVER see a bottom end of the engine go on the 4.7 or 5.7

Remember, you could have a bent valve. A bore-scope wouldn't be able to tell you that...unless it was REALLY bent. If you had a hole in the piston, I would think you would see a ton of fuel in the oil.

I'm with donkey new block is probably not the solution

i took my intake off today and there was crap load of oil in the intake

when i put a bore scope in the cylinder i can only see a small part of the piston

Like I said pull off the heads maybe ur head gasket is bad

I am leaning towards a valve issue too.

What made you take the compression anyways?
