The recall covers 40,915 Wrangler Silent Armor tires produced in six sizes (LT235/80R17 LRE, LT325/60R18 LRE, LT275/70R18 LRE, LT265/70R17 LRE, LT245/75R17 LRE AND LT285/70R17 LRD ) from March to May 2009. Original buyers of the tires will be notified by March 22nd, and have their tires replaced, free of charge I believe.
If you have these tires, I would check the date on the sidewall to see when they were manufactured.

How did you hear about this recall?

 

I simply saw the scrolling text across the bottom of a newscast, and then let Google do its thing. So if you have one if the tire sizes posted above, and the DOT code on the sidewall ends in either: 0309, 0409, or 0509, then that tire would be included in the recall. Hopefully meaning new free tires.

 

Correction, if the DOT code ends in 0909 through 2309, those tires would be included in the recall.
