SullysDetailing has matte black 3m vinyl on the roof of his Raider ..... looks slick when it's done right. I definetly don't think it's a DIY project unless you have a laser cutter and experience installing vinyl on a vehical. If you do it, I would do it right and go to a professional. After the cost of it, you might be better off investing on getting some race stripes or something painted down the whole length of the truck including the bumpers or something clean like that.

Vinyl is easy to work with... I dont know why you would need to take it to a pro...

if you have a heat gun and a friend, you could wrap the roof easily.
