Default Mismatched Headlights

Hey guys,

I just bought a 2011 SXT, I noticed when I was looking at it that one of the headlights had been modified - however through looking at other's Dakotas I decided that was the exact headlight trim modification I would want done.

I went and looked at the truck, looked great, and decided to get it. The problem is I can't figure out where to get a matching headlight trim, or what kind it is. Does anyone recognize this?

I've uploaded a pic of the modified headlight. If anyone recognizes what it's called or where I could get it I'd be thankful. It looks like the trim is black, whereas the other is a stock chrome.

Nice truck! Oh man, I don't know if there is a lot of aftermarket headlight housings for the 08+ Dakota..I have to leave for class now so I can't research right now but someone else will chime in..it might have been custom painted by the former owner. Welcome to the forum!

Thumbs up

There are two different headlamp trim levels available for the 2011 ND. Chrome w/chrome trim and Black w/chome trim.

If it's the Black w/chrome trim your after for the passenger/right side the part# is 1EK58WS2AE and depending on your states sales tax rate it'll cost your looking at about $350.00 to buy one from a dealer.

eBay is your friend in at a time like this ..... $100 for a used OEM one. Be sure to read descriptions from these companies on eBay though .... many sell brand new OE lights .... always look for used OEM for the best quality.

Thanks for the help guys! Yea I read that the V8 was only 10 more Hp then the V6, and then when I went test driving, I though the V6 had enough guts for me - I get home later that night to discover that 2009 and on the V8 has 310 hp and the extra torque. Imagine my face palm. There was a black V8 the same price, 100 miles away with 6000 extra km on it. Doh. Nothing I can do about it now though.
