BFG or Grabber AT2?

ive been eyeing those BFG rugged terrains . sams club here has them for $162 a piece, iirc.
on the grabbers, I checked the specs, decided against the e load range since the c has a higher capacity than average, close enough to e for my use, without the higher cost & weight.
checked around locally,for a set of 265/70/17 general grabbers at2, $673.00 mounted & balanced ..seems reasonable , 2 other quotes were $710 & $785.
how much are they running in your locations?

well, here they are fellas, new shoes for the dak.
grabber at2's, 265-70-17's. had to trim the inside corner of that integrated mud guard on the front fender a little. had bridgestones the same size before that didnt rub,but the grabbers have that squared shoulder that makes it a little bit wider.
im really liking these tires.

kind of ironic you mention wear.
i used to be a die hard bfg guy, radial t/a's on my old camaro, bfg at ko's on a couple other trucks, loved them,,,
but the last set i had & the last set my dad bought wore out a lot quicker than the others. they wore even, but didnt last like before.
IIRC, hammerz71 on here also mentioned having similiar issues with the bfg's in post # 5 of this same thread.a buddy of mine in the tire business also gave the thumbs up to the generals.
thats why i decided to give the grabbers a try.
with a 60000 mile rating & the fact its not my daily driver, i figure itll be ok.

hopefully theyll do well, if not ill let you fellas know.
i know the OP only mentioned bfg or the grabbers, but one of my favorites for the $ was the Sport King AT radial.
IIRC, made by medalist, an off brand of bfg.
priced right, performed well & lasted pretty doggone good.
theyre still available, but my 2 previous favorite local tire guys both changed management ..
one jacked up the prices & the other kept their lower prices but cut back on selection & does not offer the sport kings now.
