I want to see my options to run components. Where are the factory tweets located? Want to see if I can get the paneling at a junk yard.

 

When I was considering upgrading the sound system beyond my simple Polk/MyGig setup (probably won't happen now) I was eyeing that triangular section of the door panel that sticks up where the mirrors are located. Depending what's back there might be a good spot for tweeters.

 

That's what I was thinking. But I'm too afraid that I will not center them right. I just have the basic tools to mod anything. That is why I was wanting to try and find a factory panel that has the tweeter location in it. Where ever they maybe, on the A pillar or the doors.

 

I think they are on the door panel where the triangle is..I notice that too. Definitely a nice place to mount some small 3" speakers or something. I know GM does that on there trucks with Bose Audio.

 

Yes, on the little trim piece covering the mirror mounting points.

 

I wonder if there is a marking on the panel on the back?? That would be nice to use as a guide if there was. Can I get a picture of a 06 dak tweets in the panel?

 

mine didnt come with tweets but when i installed the polk components and crossovers. i put the front tweets on that triangle where the mirrors are. and the rear tweets just a few inches above the speaker grille.
