Default Rust Around the Windshield - Warranty or Not?

My wife's 07 Dakota which she bought new in 2007 with 6 miles on it was bought at Krebs Dodge in Gibsonia, PA. We have a number of issues with the truck like brake, some suspension parts, etc. but never with rust. The windshield cracked last year in 2011 at the top corner and there were no chips. The crack grew and it needed replaced before inspection so we had it replaced. Once it was out the installer showed up the rust about 2-3 inches long bubbling on the flange for the glass where the crack was. He also told us it was not the original windshield! The truck had already had a replacement before we bought it at 6 miles in 2007! The Dakota has a sunroof and it not sure if this is why but it leaks water at the grab bars where the screw holes are. If we go through a car wash or are in heavy rain it comes almost to a rapid drip soaking the floors and our legs! They never fixed that but it was looked at and 'repaired' many times since 2007. Maybe it was from that? But now it took since last November 2011 to get the rust fixes and battling with Krebs Dodge to get Chrysler to fix it. They told us it was approved and scheduled an appointment to repair in Jan or Feb for April 23, 2012. Now we drop it off, out a vehicle but no big deal since I have a work truck during the week, but it was a 3 day fix. Then the owner, Mike Krebs, calls and asks my wife if she wants to trade it in?! Then tells us its not covered so he has to talk to Dodge. The truck sits all this week and now its finally getting fixed 5 days later and they will not give us a loaner car for the weekend and we absolutely need it. I can't drive a 5 ton around to a wedding while she goes to her sister's for something else. Is Dodge right for treating us this way or are we entitled to a loaner. He also said we should have told him sooner...it was a 3 day fix! It wasn't a problem and now its the weekend! He also said the rust if not covered but Dodge is making an exception...the truck has a factory defect. Its almost unsafe to drive in case it rolls over with a 3 inch weak point. Very disappointed in Dodge and Krebs. Any advice on this would be great especially about getting a rental paid for by Dodge while the truck is getting fixed for a factory defect. Thanks
