I just did the grill on my truck, im still not sure how i feel about it, I used this stuff called Plasti-kote and its made for vehicles, i used this black stuff thats ment for bumpers/grile gaurds side steps and such, they have litterly everything you could want from rims to color matching to fabric; paint the interior with a spray can haha! i love the look of the black insted of the crome, but its pretty weak its already got some dings in it but i really had to **** and didnt look to see if they have a clear coat or a hard coat or anything but hope they do.. i also painted outside on a windy day and lots of stuff blew on to the grill durring the 4 or 5 coats i put on so up close its not the prettiest thing ever, ganna see how well it peels off and redo.. that dip your car looks sweet, when do you plan on doing your impreza i would like an honest review see how that plasti dip holds up after a few trips on the highway, or marks up just by a little bump.. heres a pic of my grill

I hope to do the car soon .. but I need to get a few parts for the car before I paint (and money is tight)... I dont see a reason to coat parts I am not interested in keeping on the car and then having to buy more plastidip to paint the new stuff ...but I will let you know how it holds up ...

Well you definitely have the right colir for that. Black or silver trucks look really good murdered out.

Yes I would tape both the ram and the lugs. You don't need to use plastic dip necessarily. There are paints that don't come off as easily but then you can't take it off if you change ur mind

i have an 2010 and i wanna paint the grill surround and the headlight trim, can i do this on the car with plastidip? do i need to tape? can i use that playing card trick? or just spray it and peel back where i dont want it

does it stand up to a gas power washer while cleaning?

i would say tape it up, and use newspaper for the extra, someone just did the grill and said it was a PITA to get it off the grill slats

plastidip will not stand up to Power washer ... also if you tape off areas be sure to remove tape before plastidip is dry or you will pull it all up... to remove try using a microfiber towel or roll it with finger and peal off .. if you have a good thick coat.
