Well now you got me wondering if I'm doing any thing bad running cooler than stock...lol

I run a napa 180 stat, been in since 2005 when I purchased the truck, no issues

"Bad" is relative to what your trying to accomplish. A hotter engine will run leaner and cleaner, good for gas mileage and less carbon buildup internally. A cooler engine will retard knocking and run slightly richer.

Soo 180 stat = bad correct. well for the newer 4.7l atleast. good to know before i decided to put that in

There is no problem running the 180 in any 4.7L prior to 2008. Coolant temperatures 10-15 degrees cooler will NOT do any damage to the block over time
