I have an 07 SLT Quad Cab v6. A few days ago the check engine light came on. When it did and I got to over 50mph, it seemed like the truck didn't shift to the top gear. It was going at over 200rpm and when I took my foot off the accelerator, it slowed down quicker than normal, like it was engine breaking. When this is happening the cruise control will turn on, but when I go to set it, it turns off. This doesn't happen all the time, sometimes the truck runs perfectly fine.
At one point I checked the diagnostic codes and they said it was the cam position sensor. Would the cam sensor cause these symptoms to happen? The codes were P0304, P0340 and P0344.
