Default How to choose wheels

Hey guys I need some help on picking some new wheels. I've been reading a lot. I couldn't quite find it all. Is it true the offset of wheel must be +15 to +20or it wont fit?
I found some pro comps that have 4 inch backspace and 0 offset so I'm wondering how that will fit.

Few more questions :

1)Anyone have these on? /What wheels are you using?
2)Also is it true that I will need some sort of ring adapter to go in between the hub and wheel since only stock wheels are hub centric and aftermarket are all lug centric?
3) what's it our hub size? Do I need to worry about this since they will be lug centric wheels anyways.

I have an 06 quad cab 4.7l v8 2wd btw,
Thanks guys

discounttire.com has a pretty neat tool that shows what the wheels look like in your own set up.
Whether you buy the rims from them or not at least you see what certain wheels look like in your truck

Here is the image they rendered for me:

And this is the trucks with the wheels installed:

Stock wheel offset (16x7 or 16x8) is 25.4mm, a zero offset pushes the wheel out about an inch.

So the area where the tire would be at it's highest, and possibly rub (depending on the tire size), would be pushed out. Meaning the front splash guard and front bumper fascia would be the possible 'problem area'. Trimming those areas would be very visible.

Dakota wheels are hub centric, which means the hubs support and center the wheel. Without the hub centering rings, the wheels could be off center. Even the slightest bit would cause vibrations and shaking, usually noticeable at higher speeds.

Dakota hub size is 77.8mm.

Lower than designed offsets can put added stress on the wheel bearings and other suspension components.

if i understand correct, the added stress of the 0 offset would kind of be the same as if i were to get spacers on the stock wheels right? Both causes the wheels to stick out further than normal being why. That being said i should have no problems fitting on the wheels as long as i get some hub rings?
