so what if I just drilled a new hole way up by my air filter { on my home made air intake} and put the AIT sensor there instead of putting in a resistor????????????

Try it and see what happens. I don't notice any difference with or without the resistor in so I don;t think it really does anything.

I really do not think you will notice a difference. I had the resistor and only noticed a loss in MPG. No noticeable power increase.
