For about 2 or 3 years I've had a problem with some play in the steering wheel. I've had things checked nothing. Steering gear box was fine, toe in helped but didn't solve it. Finally I came across a post on a webpage, tried it, worked. Tightened the pinch bolt on the steering shaft located above the brake pedal. It took a crescent wrench and some elbow grease to crank it down, but it worked. Least I hope that fixed it. We'll see. I've read some posts on here before from people that had the same problem and couldn't figure it out. Hope this helps someone.

 

Glad to hear you might have found your issue. I have been chasing a steering issue for over 4 years now, and have just given up on it.

 

You sound like me. I had given up on it as well. I just happen to stumble across that looking at something else.

 

I will check that connection, but I do not think I have the same symptoms.
