Default Superchips 3865

Just got my Superchips 3865 today and I can't tune my truck. I keep getting the error G-3F (General Error). Everything is up to date, so I'm not sure why it won't work. Apparently the General Error has something to do with having your key being turned to the right place, but my key was definitely on the run/off position when it was supposed to be. Does anyone have any ideas? I can't imagine that this thing wouldn't work due to my truck being a 2011. The tuner says that it works for 2004-2010 models, but the truck was still made in 2010 with all the same components as every other 2008+. Thanks!

I would try speaking with Superchips directly, but they won't confirm my login for their forum. I've already had them resend the confirmation twice.

Call them. On their website, click on "contact us" and you'll see addresses and phone numbers - they should be able to fix up any problems you may have with their site or their unit, just have the unit and your invoice available to give them the unit and sales details they'll need to give you customer support.

Grr, I'll get there. I have to wait until tomorrow at this point. I was just hoping somebody had the same issue and could point me in the right direction. I'm anxious to see the results of this tune.

Good luck with tech support. I can honestly say it sucks. They treat you like you don't know crap and blame everything on wifi.

Superchips doesn't have anything for the 2011 Dakota. Or the 2011+ 4.7 Ram for that matter. I've been watching their forum for a while and they keep claiming they can't crack the security on the new PCM.

I heard a discussion on a Ram forum of a guy with a 2011 Ram with the 4.7 was able to get a 2010 computer to work in his truck and subsequenty use a superchips tuner. He used the company below;

Apparently there is an actual Chrysler PCM programmer that either works there part time or they know the guy directly and knows how to crack/tune them. Maybe worth a shot contacting them.

Yeah, I found that out the hard way. Kinda bummed. I would try that, but I don't want to mess with the truck while it's still under warranty.

A 3865 will only tune up thru 2010 models so looks like you'll have one for sale sometime soon.

Well, if you bought it new, return it for a refund. That blows that it won't work on the 11's.

Sure does. I'm definitely just sending it back. This makes me want to sell my Dakota for a new Ram even more. It kills me that there is little to no aftermarket parts for this truck.
