Default throttle body

just wondering what my options are for throttle bodys, what exactly would the fastman 69 m give me verses stock. im going to be installing a new MBRP exhaust and possbily new headers after.. would a performance throttle body help me.

It will help, mostly in the middle and high RPMs.

I have a hipotek 68.5 and love it some people have had idle problems with the fastmans

Some like fastman, some like hipotek. I had a hipotek. One member on here had some issues with his fastman and the guy who makes them would not help him at all, so that kind of left a bad taste for fastman. Don't go larger than 68.5mm (iirc), the gains above that size are minimal. With the minimal aftermarket support, it is a good mod to make along with a less restrictive intake and exhaust. Oh, I would pass on the headers if I were you, the cost is not offset by any significant gains. The stock manifolds flow pretty good. The restriction is in the y-pipe.

I did the headers since I had leaky manifolds anyways and figured why not upgrade when replacing. I didn't notice a whole lot of difference with them, though I've yet to touch the y pipe.

those stock manifolds flow like crap, when i did my exhaust headers included it changed the truck alot

I got the 70mm TB from hypotek for the same price and the smaller one. He said the sensors will compensate for the extra air, and if I added any serious performance mods in the future I am setting myself up for more power.

running the 70mm from fastman, love it, great product, simple swap and install, cant go wrong
