2005 Dodge Dakota ongoing P0300 issue...

They said they checked the crank sensor and it was wonky so they replaced it and now it's good but the problem was not resolved. They did a computer swap even and that changed nothing.
I will be making an appointment to get my alarm and stereo system fixed up and go from there. I have been most suspicious that this was the issue from the beginning. The garage did not put much stock into that and as a result there may be an upsetting showdown over the bill.

I am also experiencing a similar issue with my truck. It has been stalling on and off for months with no answer. It all started when my brother changed the spark plugs... so someone posted a thread about sensitivity with the plugs and coils. We swapped out the plugs for factory plugs and the truck started running back to normal...... for 2 days. It came back but worse, now the truck bucks and stalls and doesnt shift into overdrive on the highway. Im just about fed up...helppppp

Not always true until you go monkeying around with the electrical systems installing systems and alarms. With todays computer controlled vehicles it's easier than ever to find out a problem. Provided the original factory wiring harness has not been hacked into. Like deerhunter says, these trucks are sensitive when it comes to the electronics. Don't know how hard it would be to put everything back to original but until you do, how are you ever going to know if thats the problem or not. I don't think anyone on here had a random misfire issue so it is definitely not common. Hope you get it figured out without too much hassle.
