Default not your average "exhaust" question

I have an 05' w a rear mount turbo. Just lowered it which is making me redo the exhaust. I've decided to go through the side of the bed in front of the rear tire. The question, where the turbo sits gives me very limited space to work. Right now i have a 14" moroso spiral flow which I love but I was wondering to save space could I instead use a magnaflow hiflow cat in place of the resonator? Will it not flow enough and cause boost surge? Will it not muffle as well as the moroso did? I've ran the truck without a muffler before and its not too too loud but its very raspy. I like the moroso but the bends will be super tight because of the length. What do you guys think? Thanks

You could just remove the resonator, its not required. It just helps muffle the sound, I have one of them removed and a straight pipe installed.

The moroso spiral flow muffler is a resonator, its the only thing I have on the truck. I don't like how it sounds without one but its too large for the future application so I was wondering if the hiflow will effect the boost and if it'll do a good enough job of muffling the exhaust after the turbo
