Question Autostart Not Working

My 07 Laramie has the factory autostart installed and has worked flawlessly until now. I've used it ~10 times this month already. Anyway, when pressing the autostart button on the key twice, the truck honks once (like it locks the doors) and thats it. Under normal situations, it will honk twice then proceed to start the engine.

I tried both keys that I have and they both do the same (one honk). Any ideas?

Figured it out. The hood was popped.

Dsimm,

Glad to hear it was an easy fix and the autostart is working properly. Good information to post in case someone comes across the same problem.

The stupid hood plunger switch is not compressed down enough. Adjust the switch or add a bumper to the hood to make up for the space needed.

Those hood switches fall off sometimes or the brackets get bent from hood slamming.
