I ordered both skid plates that were in the TRX package, one for the fuel tank and one for the transfer case. The tow hooks can still be ordered too. I placed the order on the 17th, and it's supposed to have shipped out today. I'll pass along the info when I'm sure the parts are correct.

Did you know we can only have the SLT package in Mexico?
Ram Dakota Crew Cab SLT 4x2 3.7L V6
$321,900 pesos

http://www.camionesram.com.mx/autos-...2/precios.asp?

We can not decide what we want, we have to get what the dealer have!

For what I can read u guys can build the truck the way u want and place the order! That's customer power!

Is there a difference between the normal skid plates and the trx?

I almost positive that they were all the same skid plates, the skid plates are made of steel.

Thats what I figured. What I did for my skids's was buy the raider skid plates as they seemed to be about 20% cheaper than the OEM's dodge ones.

Glad u found a good deal on it... It's like buying a car part from a Chevy dealer to fit ur Cadillac, or Vw to fit Audi, u can always find a better price for the same stuff!

I'm working on getting mine to that

So yea, sorry for resurrecting this thread from the grave but a couple points/corrections...

The TRX didn't come with a leveling kit. I know this 100% because I just installed one. Haha

The 08 model did not have 4 wheel anti-lock. Only rear. So unless new models came with it that's false info. The shocks are supposedly slightly stiffer than other Dakota trim packages (but they're still garbage. I just replaced all 4 corners on mine with Monroe Sensa-Tracs), and the TRX supposedly also has a 1" higher ride height, but that hasn't been proven as fact as far as I know.

They did come with a trans cooler and heavy duty engine cooling, which are nice to have. Especially with how I drive :/ Some other differences are skid plates, wheel flares, "off-road" tires, TRX decal, the TRX rims in this thread, interior trim, and a couple other insignificant little BS items.

All in all, I'm happy with the truck. Especially now that it's no so bouncy.

So, hopefully I'm going to continue down that road to getting it looking more like that Warrior (minus the steel bumpers probably)

Peace!

The TRX & TRX packages above in post #3 were for the 2007 and previous years.

Here is what was included in the 2008 TRX/TRX4 package.

TRX/TRX 4
Includes the standard gear of the previous trim level (SLT Model), with the following additions:
Distinguishing factors include Silver-accented grille with black honeycomb insert, Black headlamp bezel with accent trim and tow hooks, Jet Black fender flares and bodyside molding. Rear antispin differential. 16" x 8" unique painted cast-aluminum wheels. Available full-time shift-on-the-fly transfer case, skid plates for the fuel tank, transfer case, and front suspension. Inside, look for all-new two-tone YES Essentials® Seat Fabric.

4 wheel ABS was only available as part of the 'Extra Security Package' on the 2008 model.

i read that there is a1" higher ground clearance i defiantly want that. if my info is correct my 05 has 7.9" and if the newer 06 trx4 is 8.9 thats not bad. and looking for ways to get my stance up where it should be is a pain no one seems to want to make anything for the dakota guys
