I dont think any tailgate on the Dakotas locks. Never seen any that have atleast.
I know you can buy a lock for it, or Get a Electronic Lock and tie it into one of the doors.

The tailgate lock does not come standard on this model. You can review what aftermarket options would be available with the parts department at your local Dodge dealer.
