Default Dakota Utlity Rails

Hi, I'm a new user here and looking for some help. I have an 08 Dakota with bed utility rails factory installed and i want to add a tonneau cover. I'm curious if anyone knows if there is a cover that can be installed right into the existing rails. thanks for all the help

Welomce to th forum, and happy holidays.

R u looking for a cover that is more flush mount or one that sits on top of the bed. I have a tonno pro and it works with the utility rails.

If you r looking for one that is flush mount u will have to remove the utility rails.

most companys ie extang, tonno pro etc have adapters that come with there covers to work with the utility rails.

Welcome to DF. Might have to call around to some of the companies listed above to make sure one will fit.

Not recommending this place but it looks like there are OEM ones available. Looks like both soft and fiberglass ones. This will give you part numbers and appx prices...
Go down the page and click the link for "2008", then "Dakota", then "Exterior", and finally "Tonneau covers".

Thanks for the info guys. I'd like it to be flush but that's not a requirement. I want more for it to use my existing rails because I like these and do not want to remove them. I will check these out. I saw the oem ones on the mopar Estore and they were crazy expensive. How do you like the tonno pro, is it hard or soft cause I am looking for a hard cover

Our G4 Elite hard folding tonneau cover works with the Dakota's factory rail system, no modifying necessary.

Be sure to check out or Factory Store as we are running a holiday special until the end of the year that offer $150 off our our G4 Elite Fold-a-Cover.

This looks very similar to the Mopar unit I have, but with a couple of nice features added. With the current sale it's a bit cheaper than the Mopar cover also.
