Default Clunk or ping in drive train when first accelerating

Hello, my 2007 Dakota has 56,000 miles on it, and it's been run gently. Lately, when I start to accelerate from a stop, I hear a "ping" or clunk. The noise doesn't really happen when I put it in gear, but upon acceleration. It's really annoying. It seems to go away after the vehicle warms up. I don't experience any other grinding, whining, or vibration. U-Joints? It's even harder to diagnose with the 2-piece shaft. I didn't detect any movement when I tried to move them manually. Thanks for your opinions.

Try dropping the driveshaft and greasing the slip yoke.
