Default throttle body cables

I was inspecting the throttle body the other day and noticed that the throttle cable had some excessive play in it. How would I go about adjusting it? Also there is a second cable attached too the throttle body that does not move when I depress the gas.. I'm assuming this is for cruse control?
Thanks in advance!

Are you experiencing any driveability issues that makes you think this may be the cause of? If nothing has changed and the truck is running fine, I would leave it alone. I dont recall anyone having to adjust the throttle cable.

I have throttle cables as well. I bought the truck new, now I crossed 130K and have never had to adjust them.

I added Cruise control to my truck and the second cable is definitely that.

nothing in terms of driveability issues. I thought I'd ask before doing anything. however, when I press the gas down(hard) while moving, the transmission sometimes doesn't want to downshift right away or at all sometimes. the truck has 245000km on it and I am planning too do a filter/fluid change this spring(if it decides to come -.-')

That computer linked stuff is partly what allows us to get more power and slightly better gas mileage than the older versions of the engine.
