Default Strut Mount?

I have a thump sound every now and then, and got time to look today. On my drivers side there is the 3 Mount Bolts, then something in the middle poking up, When I bounce the truck I can see its what is causing the sound, as It hits the mount and moves up/down with the truck. Passenger side is fine, It not there and no sound from it.
Im assuming its the Strut Mounting Plate or something like that has broke? I jut had my struts replaced a few months back when I had my leveling kit installed.
How hard is it to replace? would I have to take the entire strut out?

Since you have a leveling kit installed, the three nuts you see on top hold the leveling kit for that side. The single nut/threaded rod coming through the center of the strut top would be the rod from the shock - the nut holds the shock in place. If that rod is broken, you'll need to take the whole thing apart to get to the shock to replace it. If it's loose, you might be able to tighten that center nut, but if it's been banging around for a while, the thread may be shot, in which case, you may still need to take the whole thing apart. If the thread is screwed up, you can run a die over it to try to save the shock - if it's too bad, you may need to change the shock.

I just had the struts put on a few months back (We have struts on the front not shocks)
Ive only heard the noise the last week. I had it booked to go in Weds to be looked at. Since I get to deal with storing or selling my new used atv since it would be $2200 to fixed, lovely week haha

The whole unit on each side of the front suspension is the strut - the inside mechanism is a shock absorber. The terminology has deteriorated over the years where "shock" has become "strut" at a lot of the parts suppliers. The top of the shock has a threaded rod that goes through the upper mounting on top of the spring. If you had a shop put your leveling kit in, I would say that the rattle is their problem to fix.

Its been a few month since I had the Leveling Kit and New Struts installed. It only started making the sound this week, Hoping its a quick fix.
