Smile AC low pressure switch location 2005 Dakota 3.7L

Hi Guys,

Any body Knows the LOCATION of the ac low pressure switch for the dakota?

My ac clutch stop engaging and when i hook up gauge accumilator service port = 0 pressure.. I want to recharge refrigerant and I need to short the low pressure switch connector to engage the clutch.. First time it happen..

Please help... Thank you..

The clutch should engage when you add refrigerant. I've never had to short mine out even after opening the system to replace a component. Just hook up your can and start filling, the compressor will engage when the pressure increases due to adding refrigerant.

Thank you for the Info.. I thought the clutch has to engage to add refrigerant.. I will try to add refrigerant ( AC Pro) some time this week.. will update

I was succesfull adding refrigerant.. After about 3 minutes of adding refrigerant(AC Pro Professional) the charging hose still hook up, I started the car and turn on ac full blast. The compressor clutch kick in and i was able to finish charging the AC. I hope the charge will hold, Its cold now in the truck and i am happy..

Your supposed to have the engine on and AC running when adding refrigerant....just sayin...

Glad you got it done.
