Default HHR Fan Install

Hey guys, I'm getting ready to mount my HHR fan this week. Was wondering if any of you had any ideas on how to mount? I've been to the hardware store three times now looking for ideas and have came up with nothing. Is my best bet to just custom fab my own out of some sheet metal or something along those lines? Thoughts? I know some of you have already installed

put mine in last summer..find the thread I posted. The radiator has holes all along the edge of it so I drilled small holes into the plastic of the e-fan and mounted it with about 12 tough zip ties. you can't make the thing budge if you try and it was so easy!

For custom shrouding, I have used (& recommend) using sheet ABS, it's fairly easy to get, easy to cut, easy to form, and easy to weld (using solvent and clamps). I use as much of the original ABS structure as I can, including the motor/fan mounting and then I add the custom mounting (and ducting if necessary) parts using a combination of 1/8" ABS (formed to shape with a heat gun) and reinforced using 3/8 or 1/2" blocks or ribs - I use self tapping screws as well as solvent to pull the thinner material to the stiffening blocks or ribs. Plastic pop rivets also work to pull the ABS together until the solvent sets.

I did as 06Dak4.7Silver, simplly drilled a couple holes and used zipties to hold it to the radiator, solid as mounting any other way and much easier.
