Default Quick Question about Pads

2005 Dodge Dakota SLT v8.... Just purchased the truck from a large dealership 2 months ago. The breaks have been squeaking like crazy constantly when applying the brake. My rims are black. They must have used a very low end "cheap" pad on the front. Should I get better Semi-Metallic pads or ceramics? I have advanced, auto zone, and napa by my house.

Semi Metallic are fine. I've heard many differ opinions about ceramic, but nothing real bad...just whether they are worth it or not. I had semi metallic and they were fine, just recently got ceramic and so far I'm impressed. If you go to any of those stores, make sure you go to www.retailmenot.com first and order online for store pick up using their promo codes, you can usually save about 33%.

Thanks for the advise. Ordered Thermoquiet by Wagner and got $20 from advanced auto!
