Default Need help with wheelbearings

I have 145k, and not sure of the history of the truck. I noticed a sound when i rotated the wheel while I was inspecting my suspension but i Assumed it was the brake hanging on. SOme of you know that I have another thread about new suspension parts, and I was taking it all apart and took the caliper and the pads off and when i rotate the hub, it makes a slight grinding noise and a clicking noise. THe back of the hub where the cv meets it, has blue heat marks indictating it was 550degrees at one time.

I recorded two videos and would like a second opinion.

I was on rock auto and I saw that all of the timken hubs have splines. One of em says its for 4 wheel abs and the other has 2 wheel abs. Does that mean two wheel drive and four wheel drive? Im confused because they both have splines. I do not have abs in the front because i dont have any wires going to my hubs.
Thanks for your help!

Four wheel ABS is refers to Antilock brakes. From the clips, doesn't look like you have Four wheel antilock. Bearings for 4 wheel ABS have the sensor ring on them. And usually a higher price tag.

And yup! Dem bearings sound NASTY!

Yeah I know abs, but, i know I dont have fronts. But, I found out all dakotas have rear abs at least. I thought they sound bad too. I just hope the other side isnt bad too!

By the way, I didnt have any issues of them while driving on the road. This must of just been in the early stages, glad I caught it.

Yea, those are toast. Your best bet would be to just replace both.

In my signature I made a great writeup on how to change the wheel bearings, looks like you have most of the work done already.

I replace mine not to long ago, fairly straight forward. I believe I used Eimer's DIY on it. My biggest pain was getting the Bearing out of the Knuckle (had to remove it) placed it hub side DOWN and hit the ring off the hub that you can see thru the knuckle (broke all the Stubs off) but it eventually came out. I also broke the heads off all 3 bolts, But the good news to that is they dont thread into the Knuckle, Just the hub so the will slide out.

I saw That write up. Very nicely done. But, I basicly have everything unbolted out of the spindle. I just can't get the lower ball joint out of the spindle. I'm taking other side off tomorrow and see the condition of that bearing. Let's hope that one is good. I'D still plan on replacing it in a few months, but, I'd rather use that money towards tabs and other little things then I can slowly replace parts that aren't totally bad.

I just removed the other side. The otherside doesn't really make any grinding noise, but It clicks just like the other side. Two timken hubs are 183 shipped from rock auto.
