As soon as the PCM runs it's checks, and finds the fault again, the CEL will return.
yeah im with you, but it sounded on you that even if you dont correct the error and just cleared the trouble code with computer the ECL wont come back on.

im having a CEL issue, sometimes when i check trouble codes with ignition 3 times on/off it says trouble code P0869 and P0933, then i clear it by loosing battery minus and start the car, CEL gone. Stop the car and start it back up, CEL goes on, and no trouble codes..
After a while it might be back there the P0869 and P0933 and sometimes not..

If you dont address the problem, the codes will keep coming back. Thats the way it's supposed to work.

seems like we have some communication problems you and me.

so i have changed the solenoid pack, output speed sensor, input speed sensor and line pressure sensor.

i took of battery minus to clear the trouble codes

started the car, NO ControlEngineLight, if there was a problem shouldnt the CEL glow then?

I turned the car off and fired it back up again, NO CEL.
third time same way.
Fourth time, the CEL went back on, but NO TROUBLE CODES WHILE CHECKING?

The next time it might be Trouble codes, but never anyone else than P0869 or P0933.

The CEL will not come back on immediately. The truck will run all sorts of checks on all systems, and it takes time. After a certain criteria of checks are completed on each system, it decides if it is in a normal condition or if is not in a normal condition. It will either 'Pass' or 'Fail' a system. A Failed system will cause the CEL to appear.Simply replacing one part may not be enough, or correct, to cause that system to Pass the test next time around.

It could take weeks for an error code to return sometimes.

You need to get an OBDII code scanner, they're around $25 usually.
Or go to an auto parts store and use their code scanner.
