Default remove chrome piece on bumper, help?

Has anyone removed the chrome piece on their front bumper.
If you have, how do you do it?

Welcome to DF. It clips in. Just start prying. It will leave a bunch of ugly holes in the bumper though and once you get it removed, it will be dang near impossible to re-install it. Why do you want to remove it?
Also, please add your vehicle specifics in your signature.

You will not be a big fan of the holes in your bumper when you remove it either. Scuff it up and paint it.

I went from this:

I heard there is paint to "smoke" chrome to a dark finish, I would go with a accent color over body like Black, or such. But that just me, I replace my chrome light with black, cant stand chrome either. but my bumper is the Flexible grey plastic so no chrome.

Thats what I used, the chrome "smoke" stuff. Honestly it looked like **** up close, probably cause it was my first attempt at painting trim. I did not prep it good enough. When I was done, it was one of those paint jobs that looked best on a rainy night with a weak flashlight.....lol....luckily I was able to remove it and honestly, when I was done, the chrome strip added a bit of flair to my truck. I actually preferred it chrome. Kinda tied in the chrome clad wheels and chrome side edge guards to the rear bumper. A hint of chrome all the way around. With that deep blue paint.....Subtle.

Damn I miss that truck. It would haul frickin a$$.

Just use wax. It's plastic. (except the rear bumper)
