Default got cv finally off, stub shaft has minor play, is that normal?

For those of you that have seen my other threads about not being able to remove the cv shaft from the stub shaft, I finally got it out. Should there be any up and down play up the stub shaft? its very little amount however..

From my experience with a bunch of other vehicles.

When everything is installed, a bit of in and out play with the cv shaft is completely normal. You need to know how much is too much. KIM a brand new one should be right solid.

As long as you don't hear a TICK when you start off and accelerate, it should be fine. Also pay attention to your tires. If they are just all seasons, listen for a whoo whoo whoo whoo when you are at a constant speed. That is most likely a bad cv shaft.... or two....sigh.
