paranoid to download this file, a-v says there are is a virus or unwanted program on there. Anybody try it?

Which file exactly? I know when I went to download the 2001 service manual for a neighbor, the site it's hosted on said the file was too large to scan.

Hmmm.. If it's the service manual hosted at uploading.com, uncheck the "use download accelerator" box. Otherwise the fools are going to attempt to get you to install some garbageware. (That might be what set off your AV)
