Changing spark plugs
Just changed my 4.7L v8 today. Basically, you'll need to unplug the individual coil packs, unscrew and lift up the coil packs, then using a deep socket, remove the old plug and install the new one.
There's a tag under the hood on the passenger side that tells you the correct plug and gap you need.

Yes. Stay away from the fancy plugs. Stay with copper core and change every 30k. 6 or 8 cylinder. They do not do well with the fancy rare metal plugs.
My 4.7 is doing fine with Champion Iridium plugs, but then again, the 2008+ 4.7 V8s are used to the Nickel Yttrium (upper bank) and Iridiums (lower bank) from the factory.
Copper is better and cheaper, and if your engine didn't come with rare metal plugs from the factory, I wouldn't suggest using them.
