Default front end bottoming out

Hey all. I got an 05 dakota 4x4 quadcab. I installed new rancho struts last summer but I am having an almost impossible time dealing with the lack of travel from the front suspension.. it bottoms out way to easy with almost no travel (4.5 inches i believe is the distance). What I'm here to ask is, is there something I can do to improve the suspension to stop the bottoming out? whether it be different struts or so on? I'm not really in the mood for investing the time and money into making a long travel kit wit custom everything.

You could install an in coil leveling kit, that might stiffen it up. Honestly, even with new struts, the truck is heavy and has a front end from a minivan.

Ill recommend what I do to everyone that wants better ride but doesnt want long travel. Just put coilovers in. It doesnt take much to make a plate on the lower arm and a plate on the top coil hat to allow a coilover.

Never heard of lowboyz but 300 each is reasonable being that fox and kings are usually 450-600 EACH.

And if you can find a coilover with a fork style lower mount and heims upper mount then you wont even have to touch the lower arm.

I installed the little rubber things that wedge in between the coils of the spring. They are a stupid fix but they stiffened it up a bit. The springs were always too bouncy for the shocks, and that kind of made them worse, but it kept the nose up better. The down side is that you will lose a little down travel and the wheels can come off the ground. FWIW I am ditching the whole front end and doing LT.
