Default 2005 Dakota - Spark Plugs Bad ????

I have a 2005 Dakota V8 with 23,500 miles on it. It was running a little rough. I brought it into the dealer. They said one cylinder was missfireing. They replaced the plug and it stoped missfireing, but it is still rough. They told me that the manual recomes replacing the spark plugs at 30,000 miles but they recomend replacing them at 20,000 miles. Aparnetly this engine wrecks spark plugs.

Is this for real? On my last truck I had to replace them at 100,000 miles.

If I put Platnum plugs in, do you think I'll get more than 20,000 miles out of a set of plugs?

Thanks
Steve

They do not recommend Platnum plugs for the 4.7L. Something to do with the coil paks.

I heard that Costco and Arco were possibly doing that to make it cheaper. I don't think it's true

I work for a dodge dealership in florida, so far for the running rough condition has already been tried - plugs- coils and wire harness. non of these have fixed the problems. only replacing the fuel pump psi too low .
