Default gas tank airlocked?

Hey fellow dakota owners. I go to fill up the tank yesterday and it doesn't want to take the fuel without a fight. Took me 10 min to put in 20$ worth. A few days ago I loaded the jetski in the water and had the back end submerged and on the way home the engine light came on but the truck felt fine. Some time later I hear a bang/pop noise and shortly after the light turned off. I figure maybe some water got sucked into the exhaust.

On a side note, my truck is getting the worst fuel milage I've seen since I ought the truck. I used to get a solid 13-14 mpg but now m getting 10-11.
MagnaFlow k&n cai and bfg allterains stock size the culprit maybe. Driving me nuts the dirty pig. Going to clean air filter and clean the throttle body hopefully it helps.. any input guys?

See if you can pull that code. My M.I.L. had this problem with her Ram, Found a hose stuffed in the neck probably from an aborted attempt to steal her gas.

This is a common issue with evap issues. Your tank might even burp on its own trying to release pressure. Happened to me on my car.

Go get the codes scanned, that will tell you the issue.
