Hi i have a new problem with the dakota V8 4.7l magnum. Like many others 2005 dakota the engine idle is rough but at low rmp between 750 and 2200 rpm it felt like miss fire but when i dump the gaz pedal to the floor it seem to be ok but im not sure the engine run at 100% any idea what is the problem source. The spark plugs and the air filter are new and i have alwaus the problem. Thanks for your help.

 

How long has the problem been happening? Did it happen all at once or gradually? Is it worse with the A/C on? The typical issue for that rpm range that I've seen would be a dirty/sticking Idle Air Control Valve. Try cleaning it with brake cleaner.

 

Clean the throttle body and IAC.
