I just purchased an 05 dakota slt. It has 2 issues I hope I can fix (and others I am sure I can't). The power outlet on the dash doesn't seem to work. I've tried to plug in a device and use it, both while the truck is running and when it is off. How can I diagnose/fix this? I've checked fuse #28, and it is fine. I'm not sure what else to do.

Also, my seat belt indicator light is on all of the time, no matter if all seat belts are locked or not. It is annoying. how do i disable/or fix?

 

Check fuse # 22, and it can be switched to either run hot at all times, or hot with ignition on only.
