Default Removing Passenger Side Inner Fender

I need to get into the cavity just behind the mudflap and under the radio antenna. I wonder if anyone can give me some pointers on the removal of the passenger side inner fender.

You should have pop rivets in there, so you can go to any auto zone/ Oreillys/ harbor freight, and get a window trim remover kit. That will work pretty good, or you can use a flat head to pop the rivets out. I purchased rivets that are screws instead of popins, so they are easily removable w/out damaging the plastic rivet. It is a whole lot easier if you remove the wheel to get the right angle on the top rivets. I dont remember if you need to remove the plastic mud flap guard our daks have, i took mine off about 4yrs. ago.

Hope that helps

You need to remote the Splash Guard, Same Plastic Clips hold it in as the fender, there are also afew clips onto the Bumper, 3 I believe. There is 1 Clip that is larger then the others in the middle area of the inner fender.

Thanks for the info, now that you've mentioned "plastic pop-rivets", I recognize them. Although I haven't used these fasteners, it all looks fairly straight forward - I had thought that the fasteners were the re-useable type that plugged into body holes. I've located a local source for various rivet sizes (length & diameter) and the pop-rivet tool, so hopefully I should be all set.

A regular rivet gun won't work with plastic rivets, if that's the way you choose to go back. Maybe that store will rent you the gun for them?

I picked up the rivets as well as a gun that will set them. I was going to get the style that look like the door panel fasteners, but decided to go with the OEM style since my RAM needs a few replacements.
