Fob!
A build sheet will tell you exactly how your truck was equipped at the time it was built.
You'd see the following item on your build sheet;
Keyless Entry
Description below, (so if the other items listed below are on your truck, keyless entry should be there too).
Or you can PM me your VIN, and I'll post your build sheet right up for you.

I'm not sure about the '06, but the '07 my office bought a while back (2 jobs ago) had manual locks (not power, not buttons to lock/unlock all doors on the inside). This thing was basic, manual mirrors, manual windows, yet it had a power bench seat, go figure. My '11 has keyless entry and power locks. I didn't drive the '07 that long as the office traded it in for an identical '11 to mine due to engine problems with the '07. Also hard to remember as it was quite some time ago.
so i found out that my truck Does have keyless entry, but the dealership wants $250 for new keys and to program it, anyway around that?
i dont currently have a FOB, just two generic keys

a few of the carpart stores around here (Napa, PartSource, Maslack up here in Canada) sell aftermarket fobs that can be programed for ALOT less then the dealers. You might want to check with places down your way and see if someone sells them.
A locksmith may be able to program fobs for you. For you to program a fob, you need two working fobs in your possession already. I picked up two extra fobs from ebay, but without two working fobs, I would have been out of luck programming them.
If you don't have two working fobs already, you'll need the DRB3 to program them. It only takes a few minutes, though. If you buy aftermarket fobs, you might find a dealership that will only charge you half an hour or so. I'm guessing most will have a 1-hour minimum charge, though.
