Now that it's done enjoy the rebuilt Trans sounds like you got a deal for paying about average and a warranty. Just make regular service intervals with it and you should get another 100,000 out of it. Not that a Trans cooler wouldn't hurt but would have been time to put on when being rebuilt

I have a 05 3.7L 2wd /w tow package, and ive towed my 5x10 enclosed trailer for hours with no overheating issues, or even engine temp higher then normal in tow/haul.

I how ever had to replace my filter, pan and fluid last winter as I put a hole thru it. So I know what it acts like with low fluid, I didnt even get 10 feet of the bank of ice (which had it plugged) before I could tell something was wrong, as it took 5 minutes to go into drive to get off the road.

oh yes i was driving home after my uncle did a fluid swap on my tuck as i was a little short on time with work. well the cold fluid level is no where accurate as he had put it up to the full level and left it out side for me. well while going about 40km/h the check engine light was thrown and i could not get out of 2nd gear. it kept going from 1st to second and trying to go into 3rd. so about 2km of driving i pulled over checked the fluid and it was barely on the dip stick. 5 litres later she ran nice and smooth. did my fluid my self the next time and put it in a catch pan so i could see how much you lose on a drain and fill and its like 8.5 litres of fluid and he put in just under 3 and thank **** there was no excess shavings in the pan the next time.
