Default Need confirmation on something please

Hi all,

I recently had a brake line failure on my 06 so decided to change all the front end lines. I removed the IPM to gain access to the anti-lock brake module. Long story short, when I put IPM back in one of the two small connectors didn't fully seat. When I went to start the truck I got nothing on the starter.

I checked the connections, found the unseated connector and properly seated it. The truck started fine after that and runs perfectly with no codes or MIL when running. The only thing I am noticing, and I don't remember if it did this before, is that if I turn the key to on and leave it on without starting the engine, the MIL comes on like it's supposed to, but after about 15 seconds a single chime sounds and the MIL flashes 9 times then stays on. I know it's supposed to stay on with the key on/engine off, but I don't remember it ever flashing.

If I proceed to start the truck the MIL turns off like normal and everything is fine with no codes. Again, I don't remember if it ever did that before or if this is something new. Can someone please confirm if the MIL is supposed to flash after about 15 seconds of key on with engine off?

Thanks,
Rob

119 views and nobody can do a 20 second key on to tell me if the MIL just stays on or starts to flash after about 10 seconds? Oh well, thanks for the help.

Relax, almost all of those views are guests and non Dakota owners.

The check engine light does start to flash after 10 seconds, with a single 'ding'.
After another 6 or 7 seconds, it becomes steady again.
