Extang Trifecta with a bed-extender?

Extang Trifecta with a bed-extender?
Hi.
I have a Extang Trifecta tonno. I want to add a bed extender. However, the Trifecta has a spring loaded latch system that I'm not sure will work with the Westin bed-extender. Does anyone out there have this combo? I called both Westin and Extang and they could not give me a solid answer.
