Default new headlights fit on an 05 dakota

well the new headlight design is quite nicer and the head lights are a hell of alot brighter. the only thing i want to know is if they would fit on this truck. if not what could i change the bulbs to that would be a bit brighter than stock bulbs but not be a hid or led bulb as they are just too bright.

It would help if you would state what lights you are referring to.

There are some bulbs that burn brighter (a lot claim this), but they seem to last about a year and then you're changing them out again. You could go the HID route, but without a projector lens installed too you'll simply be blinding the **** out of the rest of us.

I personally love the look of the 08-11 daks because of the lights, hood and fender differences. i find the 05-07 too curvey. the makes the front end look like it drops too quickly. Too car like for me.

The problem is that there are very few aftermarket light housings for the 08-11, so i'm looking for a set that has the duller trim with the black inside, came on a TRX i think. I would paint the outside trim body colour anyways. I'm thinking of doing that with the chrome trim on my lights anyways.

Then to find the black honeycomb grill insert and get rid of the chrome slats.

oh, and for brighter lights, look for the xtravision lights. They shoot light as far as the silerstars, but don't burn out after one year and arn't a harsh blue colour. I did that in my 2011 and LOVE them. i recommend xtravision to everyone. Everyone is surprised on how far my lights shoot.

HID's too bright?

Can you have too bright of headlights?

I'm running HID headlights, LED switchbacks and HID fog lights.

But then again I like seeing as much as I can when driving at night......
