Default Remote Start in OEM Keyfob on a 2006?

I had remote start installed and they told me it could be added to the OEM Keyfob and would start the truck by pushing the unlock button 3 times. Then they said it could not be added to the OEM setup and I would need a 2nd Keyfob for remote start.

Anyone know if remote start can be added to the standard keyfob key on the Dodge Dakota? I always hate having a spare keyfob to carry around.

Anyone know if this can be done with either an OEM or aftermarket system?

Yes. Go to www.Fortin.ca and lookup by your vehicle. Plug and play remote start that uses your factory key fob. Takes 20 mins to install.
